Freelance Technical Designer

Responsibilities:

Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications based on established fit standards

Make technical recommendations while maintain design intent

Measure, evaluate, and approve garments based on construction details, sketches, and BOM

Work with design and product development to implement consistent fit and high quality standards with consistent grade rules and tolerances

Maintain fit records for clear communication with factories

Fit garments on dress forms and live models

Strong computer skills

Excellent time management and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

Strong garment construction and grading knowledge across different size ranges

In-depth knowledge and experience of how sewing and different construction techniques can enhance the fit and aesthetic across multiple fabrications

Able to work in person in the office (Linden, NJ)

3+ years minimum of industry experience working as a technical designer

Strong knowledge and experience with Intimate Apparel

Effective Communication

Organizational skills and ability to multitask

Strong computer skills

Excellent time management and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
